Located in Sophie-Gips-Höfe at Sophienstraße 21 in Berlin’s Mitte district, Aperto Raum was a non-profit experimental exhibition space championing emerging and international blue-chip artists, a public laboratory, a library and an archive from 2016 to 2021. The space was closed due to COVID-19 in September 2021.

Aperto Raum was a cultural bridge between multiple East(s) and West(s) and an off-site, work-in-progress space for producing analytical Aperto Paper.

The topics explored in Aperto Raum took shape in exhibitions, musical performances, concerts, screenings, and conceptual brunches with the invited guest curators.

Inspired by the new borderless cartography of solidarity in 2023, Aperto Paper in the UAE re-intends to platform a plurality of voices among international and regional artists, philosophers and community of like-minded analysts.
